I haven’t been a WoW PvP player for such a long time. I started the arena and BG content in S6, and at first it was very hard for me to find a team to accept me. Since the arena gameplay is an elitist type of content, every team I’ve been with kicked me out just after a few games. They all said they didn’t need noobs in their teams or sent me to practice more, and I thought I was never going to reach at least 1800 rating to get the nice weapons. So, I started to work with a WoW PvP guide.

This WoW PvP guide has revealed to me a lot of information on the PvP content in World of Warcraft, putting into view numerous strategies for arena and battlegrounds for most of the powerful setups and teams. So, not only that improved my PvP gameplay and style, I also learned how to fight against any opponent. Therefore, I’m going to point out a few arena and battleground strategies this WoW PvP has taught me.

Arathi Basin - PvP Strategy. The best way to dominate an Arathi Basin battleground is to get hold of the Blacksmith as fast as possible. The Blacksmith is located in the center of the battlefield and by controlling this base your realm will get equal reach for the other 4 bases. As this WoW PvP guide has instructed me, the second base as importance is the Lumber Mill. This base has the highest ground and you can see all the battlefield from here. Attackers are easily spotted and this makes the defense easier as well. Any attack can be reported before the attackers reach the base. Holding these 2 main bases, the third is basically random to attack. It is best, though, to take posession of the base that is closer to your realm’s entrance, Farm (for horde) or Stable (for alliance). Once your realm has 3 bases, defense is very important. Three bases plus defense wins the battle.

WoW Arena Strategy for Holy Paladin - Arms Warrior - Blood Death Knight. As entering the arena, both the warrior and the death knight must aim at the opponent with the weakest defense (as rogue, druid in cat form, shadow priest). If meeting another heavy armored team, the target is the healer. The paladin stuns the target then the DPSers must use all their damage boosting abilities they have on that target, warrior uses Bladestorm and the death knight his Dancing Rune Weapon. If paladin gets heavy damage, just use the bubble. Once an opponent is “cold”, the match is already won, since the team has increased resistances, especially to melee. Depending on the opponent team, the warrior might be the main target of your enemies, so if you play the warrior it’s important to be skilled at changing stances and weapons, alternating the 2-h with a one-hand and shield.

I hope what I wrote here will be of at least a little help to any World of Warcraft player at the beginning of their WoW PvP content. However, this might not be enough to help you improve by a lot, so I strongly recommend the WoW PvP guide I’ve been following. It’s pretty solid and covers all the PvP aspects in the game.

A WoW PvP guide was my friend when I decided to start this part of World of Warcraft content. Indeed, I got bored of raiding and instances and I wanted to try something new. Losing 82 matches from 100 wasn’t exactly what I had in mind. My team mates kicked me calling me names. However, this WoW PvP guide really showed me the path for becoming a top arena player. Therefore, I’m going to share a few tips here.

1. The first thing to know about WoW PvP arena is that no matter how good you are, it’s always the team that matters. Individually, all the players in a team might have exceptional PvP skills but the team migh suck due to a lack of team work. So, don’t leave a team just after 5-6 matches. Give it a little time, so that you and your team mate would learn to play as a team.

2. The equipment has a crucial role for a player’s success in arena. So, make sure you build up as much resilience, critical chance and attack power or spell power, cutting off the PvE stats like expertise, hit rating or haste rating. Also the talent build you’re using must be PvP oriented. This WoW PvP guide has taught me though, everything I needed to know on these aspects, concerning my class.

3. Set up a number of duels that you should play everyday. This will improve your PvP skills and you will learn how to be effective versus any other class. You will learn their abilities and cooldowns and you’ll also learn how to counteract. Also, playing skirmishes will improve your arena gameplay and you’ll learn how to function in any setup. However, don’t get cocky after winning 10 or 20 skirmishes in a row, because most players that play skirmishes are undergeared, have PvE talent builds or equipment or are simply slacking.

If these tips WoW PvP tips aren’t enough and you’re still playing at the same average 1000-1100 rating, then I can only recommend the WoW PvP guide that I’ve been using. With the help of this excellent tool, I managed to get the weapons I always wanted and also the full PvP armor set.

Many beginners reject the idea of following a WoW PvP guide if they want to be a part in a clash of arms in arena or battlegrounds. So, when they lose most of their fights, instead of asking the pros for answers, they simply whine.

Since whining won’t win any battle, I’m going to write here a mini WoW PvP guide that hopefully will help any player to become a winner from a whiner, and dominate every PvP situation.

WoW PvP Guide - How To Be Successful In Arena

1. As a beginner, anyone should start with a balanced DPS/healer setup. This way your team is balanced and usually there is room for mistakes.

2. Get all the arena and PvP addons that your system can hold. Starting a battle without addons is quite a disadvantage versus your opponents.

3. You cannot play arena successfully without a speaker unless you and your team has a lot of experience. So, please, before even getting into a team, download skype or ventrilo, the best programs to use.

WoW PvP Guide - About Battlegrounds

1. Communication is essential for the success of every battleground. So, make sure you report the status of the objective you defend or attack, so that others will know what’s going on.

2. If the BG looks like a lost one, try at least to have fun taking part at as many honorable kills as you can. This can still put you to the top of the list for that BG.

3. The battleground quests are also important. They will help you improve your character as well. Completing them you will get nice honor rewards which is the currency for most of the PvP items.

I hope my teachings were helpful enough to enhance your PvP gameplay at least a little. If not, then I strongly recommend you a solid and full WoW PvP guide, written by a pro.
